Why Is Everything Red?

Red is used on days when we celebrate the passion of Jesus, such as during Holy Week. It often accompanies the white colour of Easter to hold together the work of redemption Christ made through the cross and the joy of his resurrection. Red is also used on Pentecost and for Confirmation because it recalls the fire of the Holy Spirit.

We acknowledge that Jesus, the Lord of all, has called His Church to be a Church of all nations. With joy and in humility we gather on Treaty 4 Territory, the traditional lands of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
